Last week I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole with board shorts (it started with these) and now I can’t stop thinking about the whole sporty-short moment we’re in. Runner shorts, track shorts, satin with a sporty finish, there’s something about this silhouette right now that just works, whether you’re actually doing something active or absolutely not.

So this week’s edit is all about shorts under £50, and I promise, not a gym kit in sight. These are the ones that look just as good with a sandal and blazer as they do with trainers and socks. Let’s get into it.
