Late night shopping, the BEST silk midi skirt, a logo tee that I was influenced into buying and a peek at a new collaboration that I've been working on and can finally share . . . .
It’s funny what catches your eye when you are in ‘holiday mode’ I’ve definitely been on the hunt for a few last minute items, I have a lot of day to day clothes but last year when I was away I realised I didn’t actually have that many options for evening and ended up wearing the same thing, which is totally fine but I thought that I should practice what I preach and invest in a few bits so when the occasion does arrive I actually have something to wear. I’ve done this by looking at what I enjoy wearing the most for evening and bought a bit more in that area. I’m going to do an ‘Everything I wore whilst I was away’ Substack when I’m back and try and remember to take a semi-decent photo in enough light that you can make out what I’m wearing, I hate having my photo taken and where we are headed it’s usually dark by 6pm so wish me luck. I also made a very last minute purchase last night whilst in bed, I couldn’t sleep as I’d fallen asleep with Dusty at 7.30/8 gah and then woke up wide awake at midnight, this happens a lot, but it did allow me the chance to buy this dress I wasn’t even expecting it would arrive on time, we leave Saturday but sure enough I had a message today saying that it would arrive Friday (tomorrow as I write this) I’m taking this as a sign that it’s going to fit perfectly and I’ll be wearing it for years to come, we shall see.

I used to be a sucker for a logo tee but these days I prefer something plain and get excited about the yarn / cut / colour, I love a good t-shirt. Anyway this caught my eye c/o WHO WHAT WEAR and I’ve snapped it up as it looks like the kinda tee that will age really well, I’m just going to leave her in the sun for a bit and then wear with denim.

I know you probably aren’t thinking about socks if you live in the northern hempishere but there’s a kind of sock that I always think you should buy when it shows up in your life and that’s a cream one, not too tight, soft, not too ‘warm’ I don’t want hot feet and reasonably priced, I’m wearing these a bit too much since they arrived last week, the perfect Birkenstock sock if you know, you know.

If this cardigan is still in stock and you are looking for something like it then it’s a must try, one of the loveliest cardigan’s I’ve tried in a long time, it’s much boxier IRL and looks way more expensive than the price tag, I’m wearing mine with over-sized white boxer shorts see the ARKET ones below, linen trousers and bias cut silk skirts

This cream cotton and linen mix waistcoat by Rixo which is on the more covered up side, which makes it feel instantly more classic, I like how the V isn’t too low and the bottom is slightly flared which makes it more flattering on. Always undo the last button so it feels a bit more relaxed.

A great black sun dress, I’m a personal fan of this ankle skimming length, super flattering, just add ballet pumps.
