I’m writing this whilst wearing item / 03 from today’s edit, a dressing gown that I got to hang out in whilst experiencing a stay-cay at a very smart apartment that has been curated by one of my favourite homeware brands. It turned out to be a rather expensive evening as I’m now the proud owner of a lamp and linen set, oh and a dressing gown (none of these were gifts although I did receive a rather lovely 20% off… don’t worry I’ll be enquiring if they fancy a Friends with benefits for 2025). I digress, gift edits: I always have grand ideas about putting together a huge edit of gift ideas for mums, dads, brothers, sisters, uncles, grandparents etc but it never seems to happen and I also think the only people in your life that you never know what to get are the fussy ones. I’ve been referred to as the latter by my mum and boyfriend so you are in good hands, I would happily welcome any of the below items as a generous gift *I will be signing Bongos up for this weeks email so he has plenty of time : )

The famous Merit make up bag. Basically a posh Smurf-esq sack. I love good design and this bag makes me very happy. I put all my daily skin and make-up essentials in it, mostly Merit to be honest, and tie it shut and then when I want to use it I un-tie and leave next to my sink, when I go away I do the same. It opens up to what looks like a soft basket so you can see everything that’s in the bag. I think someone should create the same for children's toys, now that would be genius. Oh and the best bit is that it’s free, yes FREE, with your first purchase so the perfect gift idea as everyone you buy even 1 product for gets the bag and there is 20% off site wide atm, I’m off to top up . .
Oh and If you need some inspiration here are my 5 favourites that I use on a daily basis:
Flush balm in Beverly Hills - the most incredible colour and very light / I use on eyes, lips and cheeks.
Brow 1990 - again a great shade, best I’ve found for my browns
Brow 1980 - I use this if I want them too look a bit fuller in places.
Great skin - this stuff gives you the perfect amount of LIFE great for winter skin
Most recent top up; as I’m quite tanned atm I wanted to try a darker concealer/foundation so that’s what I went on to buy . . .I have never been a huge make up shopper, maybe once a year as a birthday treat or if I was in an airport and had some time to fill but there is something weird about MERIT that makes me shop . . . does anyone else find this ? Plus there’s 20% off and that cute little blue bag . . . perfect for my day to day bag!

I may be slightly biased but what could be more thoughtful than giving a St Christopher, I hardly ever take mine off and am very superstitious about it esp when travelling. It also looks good on the reverse if you want a simple gold disc, depending on what you are wearing, it also just gets better with age and wear.

Not just any linen dressing gown. This is by far my favourite ever, big talk but it’s true. It’s created in a medium weight linen so not see-through, if you need proof check out my Cultiver highlight on instagram as I’m wearing big black pants underneath it. The belt is sewn in, which is very clever, so no more forever looping a belt back through or it getting all twisted and not looking cute, or in my case retrieving it from one of Dusty’s trucks as it’s now being used as a lead. The belt is also positioned slightly lower, so you never have to end up looking like a sausage roll ever again, I don’t know who those people are that look like Julia Roberts in hotel dressing gowns but it sure ain’t me.
Here’s an extra item as mine just arrived and it’s absolutely incredible, more golden than sand I’d say although you can have golden sand I guess, the full drop covering the entire bed and sides would make anyone’s bedroom feel elevated. I am still living in my gorgeous rental however the dark grey bedroom carpet sucks the life out of my soul. This bedcover is also perfect for all dog owners who insist on sleeping on the bed as it’s machine washable and if it’s anything like my cream one that I bought 5 years ago that’s still going strong, it will only get better with age.
*also available in ivory
